Hosting Near the Beach in Venice
Venice’s Gulf beaches are nesting grounds for sea turtles. From May 1 through October 31, lighting visible from the beach should be turtle-friendly, and anything left on the sand overnight can block nesting turtles and hatchlings.
If your celebration is on or near the beach during nesting season, we’ll plan tent placement, lighting, and pickup timing with those protections in mind. Special events on private property may also require a temporary use permit from the City of Venice, so it’s smart to start planning early.
